Original watercolor painting created on site in New Orleans French Quarter July 2023.A tribute to America’s oldest running bar- this establishment remained open as a speakeasy during the prohibition under the guise of Lafitte’s Blacksmith shop. A local favorite and visitor mecca, known for the constant revelry and flow of voodoo Daiquiris. Transport yourself to this beloved tavern & Joie de vivre of New Orleans. This print is an open run; however, it will only be available for a limited release time period. New Orleans slows down every summer as the heat and humidity scare off the crowds. The streets empty and shops take hiatus. For creatives, it’s often a time to recharge, rest as local sales come to a halt. Someone once said, if you can survive New Orleans in the summer, you’ve become a New Orleanian. This is the Artist first time since 2013 that she will not be escaping New Orleans at any point this summer. To survive, she has been painting away, seeking moments of moments of magic amidst 103 degrees.
